La Quinta Returns Transition to Wyndham Rewards
Where can I find my Wyndham Rewards member number?
If you had a valid email address on your previous La Quinta Returns account and were transitioned to Wyndham Rewards, you should have received a welcome email from Wyndham Rewards on April 4th. In that email, you can find your new Wyndham Rewards member number at the top, as well as a link to create your online account and password. Please double check your "Junk Email" or “Spam” folder.

How do I access my Wyndham Rewards online account?
To create your online account, you will need your new Wyndham Rewards member number. (Please note, former credentials from La Quinta Returns will not work.)

Can I sign in to Wyndham Rewards using my former La Quinta Returns account information?
Unfortunately, your former La Quinta Returns credentials will no longer work. To sign in to your Wyndham Rewards account, you’ll first need to create an online account using your new Wyndham Rewards member number—sent to you via email on April 4, 2019. If you can’t find your number, please call Member Services at 844-405-4141.
Once you’ve created your account, please use your new Wyndham Rewards username and password to log in.
What happened with La Quinta Returns?
La Quinta Returns officially ended at 11:59 p.m. ET on April 2, 2019 and members were able to earn Returns points up until then. The last day for members to redeem Returns points was by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2019. La Quinta hotels officially joined Wyndham Rewards on April 3, 2019.
How were La Quinta Returns members enrolled into Wyndham Rewards?
- U.S. Members
La Quinta Returns members who were not yet Wyndham Rewards members as of 11:59 p.m. ET on April 2, 2019 were automatically enrolled in the Wyndham Rewards program, subject to the Wyndham Rewards Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice. Members received their new account information on or around April 3, 2019. Any La Quinta Returns member who did not wish to be automatically enrolled in the Wyndham Rewards program had the option to opt out of doing so online through March 8, 2019. La Quinta Returns members also had the option to opt out between March 8, 2019 and April 2, 2019, by calling La Quinta Returns Customer Service. NOTE: Opting out resulted in the forfeiture of any LQR points not used by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2019. To terminate your Wyndham Rewards account after April 2, 2019, please contact Wyndham Rewards Member Services at 1-866-996-7937.
- Non U.S. Members (or those without a physical address on file)*:
Non U.S. La Quinta Returns members were not automatically enrolled in the Wyndham Rewards program. La Quinta Returns members who wanted to enroll in the Wyndham Rewards Program had to opt in online to the Wyndham Rewards program by March 8, 2019, which required agreement to the Wyndham Rewards Terms and Conditions and an indication that they had read the Privacy Notice. Such La Quinta Returns members also had the option to opt in to enrollment after March 8, 2019 through April 2, 2019, by calling La Quinta Returns Customer Service. NOTE: Not opting in resulted in the forfeiture of any La Quinta Returns points not used by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31, 2019.
What happened to points remaining in La Quinta Returns members’ accounts after April 2, 2019?
La Quinta Returns members were encouraged to transfer their La Quinta Returns points into Wyndham Rewards points by March 31, 2019 in order to ensure they transferred at a ratio of one La Quinta Returns point to one Wyndham Rewards point. After March 31, 2019, points were transferred automatically, at a 1:1 ratio for Elite and Gold members, as well as for any Silver members who were also Wyndham Rewards Platinum or Diamond members at the time of transfer, but at a reduced ratio of two La Quinta Returns points to 1 Wyndham Rewards point for other Silver members.
What criteria was used to assign a La Quinta Returns member to a Wyndham Rewards Member Level? (U.S. Members)
New Wyndham Rewards Members.
If you were a La Quinta Returns member, did not opt out of the Wyndham Rewards program, and were new to Wyndham Rewards on April 3, 2019, you were assigned a new Wyndham Rewards Member number. Your Member Level was determined by your number of qualified La Quinta Returns nights between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.

If you were a La Quinta Returns member, and were also a Wyndham Rewards member on or before April 2, 2019, any qualified nights you completed at La Quinta hotels between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 advanced you to the subsequent Member Level in Wyndham Rewards only to the extent the number of La Quinta qualified nights met the number of Qualifying Nights required to reach such level in the Wyndham Rewards program. Qualified nights you completed between January 1, 2019 and April 2, 2019 were added to your Wyndham Rewards Member account as Qualifying Nights.
When assigning my Wyndham Rewards Member Level, what happened to the La Quinta Returns qualified nights that were above my assigned level but below the threshold for the next level? Did these rollover and count towards the next highest level?
No. These nights did not rollover.

U.S. and Canadian military members and their spouses continued to have the benefit of special perks at La Quinta hotels through April 2, 2019. Effective April 3, 2019, Wyndham Rewards has introduced new benefits for these members, including:
- 15% off Best Available Rate at participating Super 8 by Wyndham® hotels and 12% off Best Available Rate at all other participating “by Wyndham” hotels (also available to non-Wyndham Rewards members)
- Complimentary upgrade to Wyndham Rewards Gold Member Level
- 1,000 bonus points after first Qualifying Night
- Access to a dedicated Member Services phone number
What if I was registered as a member of the La Quinta Returns military program?
Great news! All Wyndham Rewards Members who were registered in the La Quinta Returns military program were automatically registered in the Wyndham Rewards military program on April 3, 2019. These Members will receive a confirmation email outlining their new Wyndham Rewards military benefits on or about April 8, 2019.

What was the last date I could earn La Quinta Returns points for a stay at a La Quinta hotel?
The last date to earn La Quinta Returns points for a qualified night completed at a La Quinta hotel was April 2, 2019. As of April 3, 2019, Wyndham Rewards members will receive Wyndham Rewards points for stays at La Quinta hotels in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards terms and conditions.
What was the last date I could earn La Quinta Returns points for completed purchases made with the La Quinta Returns partners?
The last date to earn points for purchases made with La Quinta Returns partners was April 2, 2019.
If I elected to earn points or miles of another loyalty program in my La Quinta Returns member account instead of La Quinta Returns points, will my earning preference in Wyndham Rewards remain the same?
No. If you elected to earn points or miles of another loyalty program in your La Quinta Returns member account, your earning preference will not be carried over to your Wyndham Rewards member profile. On April 3, 2019, as a Wyndham Rewards member, you can elect to earn Travel Partner Currency (i.e., airline miles, rail points, etc.) instead of Wyndham Rewards points by changing your earning preference in your Wyndham Rewards member profile under “My Account”. If you elect to earn Travel Partner Currency instead of Wyndham Rewards points, then the number of miles/points per dollar earned will vary by partner and your Wyndham Rewards Member Level.
Will I earn La Quinta Returns points for reservations I made with La Quinta Returns partners prior to April 3, 2019, but the transaction occurs on or after April 3, 2019?
No. However, if you booked a reservation through a La Quinta Returns partner prior to April 3, 2019 that will occur on or after April 3, 2019 and the partner is also a Wyndham Rewards partner as of the date(s) of your reservation, as a Wyndham Rewards member, you will earn Wyndham Rewards points in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards program. If the La Quinta Returns partner is not available through the Wyndham Rewards program as of the date(s) of your reservation, you will not earn any Wyndham Rewards points. However, all reservations booked through La Quinta Returns partners prior to April 3, 2019 will be honored even where the transaction occurs on or after April 3, 2019.
Can I earn Wyndham Rewards points for stays at La Quinta hotels?
Yes! Effective April 3, 2019, Wyndham Rewards members can earn Wyndham Rewards points for stays at La Quinta hotels in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards terms and conditions.
What will happen to my existing La Quinta reservations?
All reservations will remain intact. Beginning on April 3, 2019, U.S. members who did not opt out of Wyndham Rewards, and non-US Members (and those with no physical address on file)* who opted in to the program, will receive Wyndham Rewards points on stays at La Quinta hotels in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards terms and conditions. Note: La Quinta Returns members no longer have access to their La Quinta Returns account history as of April 3, 2019.

Can I change or modify existing La Quinta Returns Free Night Stay redemptions and paid stays?
Yes. You can continue to change or modify any existing La Quinta Returns Free Night Stay redemptions and paid stays in accordance with the La Quinta Returns programs terms and conditions and applicable hotel’s cancellation policy by calling Wyndham Rewards Member Services at the applicable number found here.
What will happen if my reservation overlaps April 3, 2019?
U.S. members who have not opted out of Wyndham Rewards and non-U.S. members (and those with no physical address on file*) who opted into the program will receive Wyndham Rewards points for the entirety of their stay, so long as it is a Qualified Stay.
What happened to the La Quinta Returns mobile app?
The La Quinta Returns app was discontinued on April 2, 2019. La Quinta hotels are now available on the Wyndham Rewards App. To download the Wyndham Rewards app, please visit the iTunes or Google Play stores.

If I successfully completed a Status Match in Wyndham Rewards, do I receive the same GOLD/PLATINUM/DIAMOND Member Level perks as Wyndham Rewards members who earn these Member Levels as the result of completing Qualifying Nights?

Did applying for a Status Match in Wyndham Rewards reactivate my inactive Wyndham Rewards account?
No. However, a Wyndham Rewards member can reactivate their account by earning, redeeming or transferring points or Travel Partner Currency in accordance with the Wyndham Rewards program terms and conditions.
