The Quinta dos Loridos estate is a place that awakens the senses. Situated in the heart of the Óbidos wine region, it has a storied history of wine and sparkling wine production that dates back to the 15^th century. A classic or manual method is still used to produce the wine today, followed by an aging period in the cellar.

The striking 16^th century manor Solar dos Loridos is enveloped by magnificent surroundings which invite exploration: vineyards, a lake, a forest, terraced gardens, and the impressive Buddha Eden—the largest oriental garden in Europe. An estimated six thousand tons of marble and granite were used to create the Buddhas, pagodas, sculptures, and other monumental works of art.

The beautiful Quinta da Folgorosa estate, with a spectacular house built by renowned architect Ernesto Korrodi, has a 300-year-old wine history. Cultivated from a wide variety of grapes grown exclusively on the property, both red and white wines are produced here.

The vintages of Quinta da Folgorosa became nationally recognized in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2009, the winery underwent a major update, renewing the vineyards, modernizing the winery, and transforming the wines to appeal to 21^st century consumers.
